Week 1 further edits...

In a previous post I have put my first eye edit, which contains a simple camera lens in the pupil of the eye. The idea behind this was to show the mechanism of the eye and how the camera can advance the abilities of what our eye sees. Below are some similar edits using some other images among the lens eye.

This is the first edit I did as seen in an earlier post. The eye has quite a sleepy look because of the amount of transparency I used whilst cloning the lens into the pupil.

These are the two images I combined in Photoshop. I wanted to take the simple eye, and turn it into an eye which would belong to a cyborg, I did this by adding these mechanical cogs to hint at a machine like process of seeing.

I don't think this is as strong as the first edit and it also does not follow the idea of the camera being a mechanism of the eye a there are obviously no camera parts. However I do want to stick to this certain original eye image because of the bionic look, it also has the tones of a cyborg, like a silver colour. Again I have used the clone tool to achieve the final edit.

For my third edit I used these three components. Again by using the clone tool I used the clogs and lens to make the pupil of the eye look like a mechanical process of being able to see.

The transparency of the lens in this edit is a little higher so therefore the eye looks a little drowsy as the other edits I have done.

In this final edit of the week I wanted to combine cogs, the lens and the same eye, but not have the cogs in the pupil. Here is the edit...

I think this image has an overall drowsiness in it because of the lower transparency of the lens in the eye. I cloned the cogs onto the skin that surrounds the lens eye. I really like the overall tones of the image. The blue pupil of the eye stands out which I wanted to make the viewer automatically notice the mechanically state of this eye as a camera. This original blue has come through due to the amount of transparency again.
